Importing selected supplier categories into Megamo Integrator

CHALLENGE

what we had to deal with

As the demand for automation continues to rise, e-commerce and dropshipping customers increasingly seek solutions for automating order transfers to suppliers. Manual order processing is no longer adequate, especially with high transaction volumes. To address this challenge, we aimed to develop a seamless and error-free system for direct order transfer to suppliers, starting with an integration with the supplier Activeshop [1].

SOLUTION

what idea we had

Our approach utilized the Activeshop API to facilitate automated order transfers. Activeshop, a wholesale supplier, provides a robust API that supports dynamic field completion and direct system integration. Collaborating closely with both the client and supplier, we designed a streamlined process to ensure accurate data transfer and flexibility for diverse order requirements.

IMPLEMENTATION

how we solved the problem

  1. Preparing the Test Environment
    • The client provided a test store environment and access to the Activeshop API for integration setup and configuration.
    • We ensured that both systems had the necessary permissions for communication and performed thorough data mapping to align key information.
  2. Connecting to the Activeshop API
    • We established a connection with the Activeshop API.
    • Our team created API query patterns to automate order imports, populating essential fields like product details, quantities, and delivery addresses.
  3. Testing and Data Validation
    • Sample orders were sent to Activeshop for testing to verify data accuracy and ensure the API returned complete responses.
    • The supplier actively participated in the testing, reviewing transmitted data and recommending corrections, which we implemented promptly.
  4. Developing the User Interface
    • A user-friendly interface was introduced to let customers view orders [2], edit specific fields, and make corrections [3] before submitting them to the wholesaler.
    • A feature for separating orders was also implemented, distinguishing products managed by the wholesaler from those handled privately by the client.
  5. Final Testing and Deployment
    • After comprehensive testing by the client and successful data verification by the wholesaler, the solution was deployed in the production environment.
    • The final version of the process underwent customer testing, confirming its accuracy and compliance with requirements.

RESULT

what was the result of implementation

Following successful trial orders processed through the Activeshop system, the solution was fully implemented for production use. The automated order transfer system has significantly reduced processing times and minimized errors, enabling the client to handle increased transaction volumes without manual intervention.

CONCLUSIONS

lessons learned while solving the problem

This integration with the Activeshop API has enhanced operational efficiency, meeting customer demands while boosting competitiveness in the e-commerce sector.
